Typically a Website Designer will charge £30-£50 per month to provide website support to a small or medium sized business. For this amount of money, one would expect all website software licenses to be renewed (some of which will be premium and paid for) Software should be kept up-to-date, the website should be backed up on a frequent and regular basis and it should be monitored for malware. Furthermore the Website Designer would be available for support requests from the Client. Troubleshooting and resolution fixing may be included as part of the service although actual changes and development requests will be costed separately.
How Owners Websites Compare
Unlike most website designers, our focus is on one customer segment only; holiday home owners. All our holiday home owners broadly use the same website tools and services. This means that when a client contacts us for support, we are extremely efficient at not only diagnosing any problems, but also considering how other clients may be similarly affected. We can often put in place remedial actions that may prevent issues occurring for other clients who are using the same versions of the affected software. All this should add up to short troubleshooting times, a low frequency of issues and reduced requests for support.
Our Managed Website Hosting Plan was introduced in 2023 effectively as a £110 premium service (rising to a £150 premium above our Self Managed Hosting Plan. This means that for £10 – £12.50 per month Owners Websites is able to provide a service normally priced 2-3x this price.
