Turn the corner from the bustling market town of Bakewell, stroll down the road for a couple of minutes and you will find yourself at Sugar Cottage, a grade II listed, three storey limestone Cottage.

Sitting opposite a Georgian Mill, Sugar cottage was originally a mill workers home before it joined with the adjacent cottage and became the village school!

Now a cosy holiday cottage for 2/4 people, Sugar cottage is comprised over three floors. On the ground floor level, there is a cosy living area with a large original fireplace playing host to a log burning stove, a dining area and a neat little kitchen which leads out to a small courtyard area.

The second floor has a bathroom with freestanding tub and shower attachment and bedroom two – a pretty room most suited to children which can either be prepared as a single or twin room depending on requirements.

Head up another small stairway to arrive in the beautiful main attic bedroom. A velvet king sized bed, with memory foam mattress and Karl Lagerfeld bedding and a lovingly restored Victorian cast iron feature fireplace, alive with tiny twinkling lights. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing, romantic break away.
