Supercontrol, Bookalet and FreetoBook are three capable products that offer Availability Calendar solutions that integrate to Holiday Rental websites, so why does Owners Websites feel the need to present to our customers an alternative Holiday Availability Calendar solution?
The answer is we were led by our customers, whilst in the process of commissioning their Holiday Home websites, to present a more customisable solution than those offered above. We found that clients who came to us for a new Holiday Home Website invariably liked some elements of the above solutions but were often not wholly satisfied with their additional price, design, or how they integrated onto their website. Price is as important to many of our clients as ease of use. We recognise that customers who choose us to design their Holiday Home Website don’t want to see a list of additional charges or subscriptions.
Our service is included within the one-off cost of your website design because at the end of the day almost all of our clients request a Holiday Calendar so it is disingenuous presenting the calendar as a priced add-on.As Owners Websites is a specialist web designer for Holiday Homes we are best placed to provide the website and calendar as one solution which can make things much more affordable and seamless for our Clients.
Integration to Another Booking System
Despite the benefits of our free to use booking system, some of our clients, particularly those that manage portfolios of properties, may already pay a subscription to an agent or managed service that uses one of the booking systems below. In which case we can replace our booking system with links to these systems’ calendars and / or booking forms. Supercontrol
Supercontrol is perhaps the most accomplished booking system solution on offer, however it has been developed (and priced) with the holiday letting agency in mind as opposed to the holiday letting owner. The service is best suited to Owners with a portfolio of properties. Owners should expect to pay a rather hefty £200+VAT setup fee plus an annual subscription of £370+VAT.
Bookalet
Bookalet provides a calendar management software with prices starting at £109+VAT per year for their Lite package. The booking and payment functionality should meet the needs of most Holiday Home Owners and the Calendar / Booking form integrates well with personal websites.
Freetobook
Freetobook is also popular and whilst their introductory package is free, you should expect to pay £39+VAT if you need to synchronise your calendar to a third party such as Airbnb for example and £89+VAT per year to receive online payments using Stripe. Their solution is easy to setup but perhaps not as customisable or pretty on the eye. This is mainly because Freetobook’s calendar and booking pages are held on the Freetobook website not on the holiday website.
